You can delete your ACLSMED account and its personal data at any time — from inside the app, or by emailing us if you no longer have the app installed. This page explains both routes, exactly what is removed, and what we are required to keep. You do not need an active subscription, and you do not need to sign in to this website, to make the request.
§ 01 Which Apps This Covers
One ACLSMED account signs you in everywhere. Deleting it removes your access across all of the following at once:
- ACLSMED™ SIM for iPad (App Store, com.aclsmed.simulator)
- ACLSMED™ SIM for Android tablets (Google Play, com.aclsmed.simulator)
- The aclsmed.com web simulator
ACLSMED™ CPR — our free compression-quality phone app — has no account at all. It never asks you to sign in, has no login screen, and sends nothing about you to our servers; compression data stays on the phone. There is no ACLSMED CPR account to delete, and nothing on this page applies to it.
§ 02 Delete From Inside the App (fastest)
This is immediate and permanent, and it works the same way on both platforms:
- Open ACLSMED™ SIM and sign in if you are not already.
- Tap the gear icon to open Settings.
- Scroll to the Account section.
- Tap DELETE ACCOUNT & DATA and confirm.
Your account and profile are removed from our servers straight away, and the app returns to the sign-in screen. Signing in with those credentials will no longer work.
§ 03 Delete Without the App — Email Request
If you have already uninstalled the app, lost access to your device, or simply prefer not to reinstall, email us and we will delete the account for you. No app, no reinstall, and no subscription required.
- Email support@aclsmed.com with the subject "Delete my ACLSMED account".
- Send it from the email address on the account, or tell us that address in the message.
- If you write from a different address, we will reply to the account address to confirm the request before deleting anything — this protects you from someone else deleting your account.
You may also use our contact form if you prefer. We confirm by email once the deletion is complete.
§ 04 What Gets Deleted
We delete the following permanently. It is not recoverable, and we cannot restore an account after deletion:
- Your login — email address and password credential.
- Your profile — plan tier and expiry, terms acceptance, and session state.
- Your device list — the tablets registered to your account, including the device names and model identifiers used to show you which tablet holds which role.
Simulation activity — scenarios run, rhythms selected, CPR practice — is generated on your devices during a session and is not stored against your account on our servers, so there is no separate simulation history to remove.
§ 05 What We Keep, and Why
- Billing and transaction records, where we are required to retain them under applicable tax and accounting law. These are financial records, not simulator data.
- Records needed to comply with a legal obligation, resolve a dispute, or enforce our Terms of Use.
- Aggregate or anonymised statistics that can no longer be linked to you or your account.
Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are held by Apple and Google in their own systems. We cannot delete those records — request them from Apple or Google directly.
§ 06 Deleting Your Account Does Not Cancel Your Subscription
This is the one thing people miss, so please read it. If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, your subscription keeps billing after the account is deleted — the store holds it, not us, and deleting an ACLSMED account gives us no way to stop a store charge. Cancel it first:
- iPad / App Store — Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → ACLSMED → Cancel Subscription.
- Android / Google Play — Play Store app → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → ACLSMED → Cancel.

§ 07 How Long It Takes
In-app deletion (§ 02) takes effect immediately. Email requests (§ 03) are normally completed within one to two business days, and in every case within 30 days of a verified request, consistent with § 05 of our Privacy Policy. Data held in routine encrypted backups is overwritten on our standard backup rotation.
